City of Faith Privacy Policy

Cityoffaith.online (“Site”) and the City of Faith application (“App”) are Services of City of Faith Corporation (“COF”), a Christian, non-profit organization located in Texas. COF respects your (“you” or “your”) privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This City of Faith Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes who COF is, what information COF collects from you, how COF processes your information, and who COF shares your information with (if applicable). This Privacy Policy is governed by the City of Faith Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Services. This Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated into and made a part of the Terms. Any capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as in the Terms.

 

1.  City of Faith Services. The Services are a search engine or member directory type of Service that is intended to provide you with information on companies that are owned and/or operated by individuals who hold Christian beliefs and who operate their businesses in a manner consistent with those Christian beliefs. The Services contains hyperlinks to third-party websites which are not affiliated with or related to COF. Hyperlinks to third-party sites are provided as a service to you and are provided as-is, and COF is not responsible for any content on any such third-party website. Clicking on a third-party website hyperlink or visiting a third-party website will direct you away from the applicable COF Service and onto that third-party’s website. You are responsible for understanding that third-party website’s terms of service and privacy practices. Information collected by third-parties is governed by their privacy practices.

 

2.  Collection of Your Information. The information COF may collect on or related to the Services includes:

  • Search Queries: COF collects the search terms you enter when using the Services. This information is used to provide you with search results and improve the relevance of our search algorithm.

  • Log Data: COF automatically collects certain technical information when you use the Services, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the date and time of your visit, and other usage information.

  • Cookies: COF may use cookies or similar technologies (collectively, “Technologies”) to collect information about your preferences and create a more customized experience for you on the Services. A cookie is a small piece of information that is stored on a computer or device and may contain a device identifier for the purpose of recognizing your browser as you interact with websites.   • Mobile: When you download or use Services, such as the App, created by COF or its subsidiaries, COF may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device (“Mobile Information”).

  • Communications: When you contact COF for any reason, COF may ask you to provide personal information that identifies you so that COF may verify your identity when applicable and process your inquiry.

  • Account Information: COF requires certain personal data when you create an account, make a purchase or donation, or engage with COF for commercial, promotional, or other purposes. Such information may include your name, postal address, phone number, email address, date of birth, other demographic information, or credit card information. COF limits the personal data it collects to that which is reasonable under the circumstances.

3.  Use of Your Information. COF may use the information collected for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services;

  • Improve the Services;

  • Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or with third parties;

  • Analyze usage trends and preferences;

  • Respond to customer inquiries and support requests;

  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security vulnerabilities;

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements;

  • To communicate with you about the Services or COF; and

  • Use Mobile Information to provide you with personalized content and location-based interactions. Most mobile devices allow you to turn off location services. For more information about how to do this, COF recommends you contact your mobile service carrier or your device manufacturer.

 

4. Disclosure of Your Information. COF does not sell your personal information to any third parties. COF may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: COF may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on COF’s behalf, such as hosting, data analysis, and customer support.

  • With Affiliates: COF may share your information with its affiliates for marketing and promotional purposes, subject to your consent where required by law.

  • With Your Consent where applicable: COF may share your information with third parties for other purposes with your consent, where applicable.

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If COF believes the release of information about you is necessary to respond to a legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of COF’s policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, COF may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

 

5. Retention of Your Personal Information. COF will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

 

6. Children’s Data. The Services are not intended for use by, and COF does not knowingly collect the personal information of, anyone under thirteen (13) years of age. Further, COF does not knowingly collect any children’s personal data. The minimum age to use the Services is 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if older (the “Minimum Age”). By using the Services, you represent that you are at least the Minimum Age. You may not use the Services if you are under the Minimum Age.

 

7.  Security. COF takes commercially reasonable measures to protect the security of your information and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. 

 

8.  Changes to This Privacy Policy. COF reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. If COF makes changes, COF will post them and indicate on this page the policy’s new effective date. Your continued use of the Services indicates your acceptance and agreement to any such changes.
